The Author of this FANTASTIC book is Tui T. Sutherland.

Now, I’m sure that most of you will have heard the term ‘Wings Of Fire’. For those of you who haven’t, Wings Of Fire is SO FAR a 15 book series.

This is the prophecy in the book which might tell you a little bit more about it for newcomers.

THE DRAGONET PROPHECY:

When the war has lasted twenty years…

The dragonets will come.

When the land is soaked in blood and tears…

The dragonets will come.

Find the SeaWing egg of deepest blue.

Wings of night shall come to you.

The largest egg in mountain high

will give to you the wings of sky.

For wings of earth search through the mud

for an egg the colour of dragon blood.

And hidden alone from rival queens,

the SandWing egg awaits unseen.

Of three queens who Blister Blaze and Burn,

two shall die and one shall learn

if she bows to a fate that is stronger and higher,

she’ll have the power of wings of fire.

Five eggs to hatch on brightest night,

five dragons born to end the fight.

Darkness will rise to bring the light.

The dragonets are coming.

So really, I’m just going to tell you everything you have to know.

A) There are 7 tribes. Mudwings, Sandwings, Skywings, Seawings, Rainwings, Icewings and Nightwings and each tribe has their own Queen. But when the Sandwing queen got killed by us humans, it started a war between the three daughters of the queen. Each daughter allied up with at least one of the other tribes to try and create a stronger army.

B) On the brightest night, five special eggs will hatch. A Mudwing, a Sandwing, a Seawing, a Skywing and a Nightwing. Though while the Talons Of Peace (that’s the name of the organisation) were collecting their Skywing egg, it cracked. They therefore had to replace it with a Rainwing.

C) The prophecy says that these five dragons are destined to end the war and choose one of the three daughters to become the next Sandwing queen, but not everybody thinks this way.

What could happen next?

Thank you everybody for reading and I hope you enjoyed my first (out of 20) book blog for 2022!
