Timmy Failure: The Cat That Stole My Pants
The author of this hilarious book is Stephen Pastis.
This book is № 6 in the series. I have only read numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, and I can tell you this was by far the funniest.
There’s not much to tell about this story. Other than Timmy is the world’s dumbest detective. I can say that as a FACT.
Timmy is in Key West, Florida with his mum and Doorman Dave (her husband). Timmy believes that there is a difficult mystery to solve on this Island. It all started from a mysterious note from his best friend…
My favourite parts to the book were the times when Timmy’s unpaid intern, Emilio, found out the correct ways around the problems that they were trying to solve. Although Timmy knew that Emilio was right, he would always make up stories to say that he was wrong. For example, there was an incident regarding a man in a white hat stealing China from a person called Dan. The question to this riddle was: Who stole Dan’s China?
Emilio’s answer was the man in the white hat. That was the correct answer. Though Timmy said that the ‘correct’ answer was B because:
A: There would be no reason to steal China if you did not really like China.
B: Also, it cannot be the man in the white hat. He was smiling and seemed like a nice guy.
Considering the A and B answers, do you think that anyone can be more dumb than Timmy?!
I hope you enjoyed my blog! See you at my next one!
