Reading Challenge 2020 — The Enormous Crocodile
The author of this book is Roald Dahl. He is the world’s number one storyteller. He was also a spy and was a pilot in world war 2 before he started writing children’s story books.
Once there were two crocodiles living in the muddiest river in Africa. There was a enormous crocodile and a not so big one. The enormous crocodile said he wanted to eat a child for lunch. So he went off through the jungle to the city. On the way he met a hippo and a rhino and even a bird and they all wanted the crocodile to not eat any child. The crocodile however didn’t listen and had tricks planned to make the children come to him and then eat them. But, the crocodile didnt get to eat any children because animals in the jungle kept ruining the crocodile’s tricks and all his plans failed.
I was just surprised how the crocodile managed to collect coconuts and actually turn himself into a fake coconut tree and also managed to make the children fall for the trick. I think he was really clever.
I think the title could even have been a clever but naughty crocodile.
