Premier’s Reading Challenge 2021- My Parents Cancelled My Birthday!

This is my last book blog for 2021!

The main characters in this book are: Tom, Meg, Dad, Mum, Nana, Tiny, Margherita, Mr. Hector and Tom’s friends.

The author of this book uses very funny out-of-this-world ideas. For eg. At the start of this book it says that there is a pig who squashed a chihuahua! Once in the book it also says that Mr. Hector even made birthday bunting out of pants! I thought this was a great idea.

The summary of this book is that there is a kid called Tom who has trouble with his family all the time. His Nana is sad because Tom’s little sister’s pig squashed her chihuahua, Tom’s sister is scared because she thinks that the tooth fairy has put a curse on her, but Tom is in the most trouble. Only a couple of days away from his birthday, his parents say that they’ve cancelled it. With his friends helping him, Tom decides to celebrate his birthday his way.

This book was very funny. I can’t possibly imagine if this happened to me! What would I do?
