Thank you National Geographic for making this book! To me, it has been very helpful as it has some great tips!

I borrowed this book from my friend’s sister. They knew I was getting a dog, so they thought it would be helpful. It certainly was!

I found some very interesting things from the book that I didn’t know before, Here are some of them:

Your dog will often yawn after you! A Portuguese scientist said that half the dogs she heard yawning were AFTER their owner’s yawn!

Did you know that a dog’s greatest fear is when you leave the door and don’t come back for a while? This is far more scary for a little puppy than even other dogs coming into your house!

Out of 400 dog breeds, we have chosen this one here that we would like to get:

A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Our family absolutely loves the colours and the hair!

Here is a picture of the dog breed.

Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

I really wanted a Chocolate Labrador Retriever or a Golden Retriever, but those breeds shed A LOT of hair. They also tend to grow very big. These Cavalier’s maximum height is around 8–13 inches! They also don’t shed much hair.

Here is another colour of the Cavalier that we were looking at.

Tri Colour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

This will be the first dog we’ve ever had. I really think this breed is very cute! It is a rare breed to find though.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Fun Fact:

These dogs were named after King Charles II, from Great Britain. They are loving and only want to be with their people. The King found this breed so loyal that he passed a royal decree for dogs to be allowed into any public place in the UK. This includes the House of Parliament. The law still stands today!

Hope you enjoyed this blog and the pictures! See you at my next one!
